How long after you get your ears pierced to you need to wait until you can wear dangle earrings?

Question: I recently got my ears pierced, and the first 6 weeks are up. The organ that they gave included instructions saying that I could change my earrings to other shaft-earrings after the first 4-6 week, but it said I have to wait 6 months before I can abrasion dangle earrings. None
