Nigerian Approach: Through the Years

IN 1993, Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija, former governmental President of the Model Designers Pairing of Nigeria (FADAN) and proprietress of Rose of Sharon (Accommodate of Manufacture) travelled to the Unified States of America to frequent the Threatening Expo Presentation. She went there again in 1999 and did some shows in New York, Washington D.C. Atlanta, Georgia, Mississippi and Maryland as part of the Supranational Ban Buyers and Manufacturers Expo at the Washington D.C. Focus. At both exhibitions, Folorunsho tried as much as she could to be met by up with her western counterparts but failed. This decline later made her realise that she could not clash with the westerners in their own straight because they recognize it punter than she does. It is not in African countries, she notion, to drudgery with fabrics like sanitary virgin wool. So, Folorunsho started working with ethnic fabrics that rejoice in Africa, capturing and representing the styles, insigne singular, emblem, dreams and aspirations of the people. On designs, she unequivocal that it is of the utmost importance to agree that dernier cri is associated, subject to and powerful. It must be apt to the customs and habitat where it is being sold.
